DISASTER STRIKES - Teacher falls off boat and breaks leg.
Mr Mayfield is off for nearly two terms and so the railway is put on hold.
By the time Mr M has caught up it is

Layout decisons - The biggest problem with the previous railway that Mr Mayfield made was that it was in 3 big sections. It took so long to set up and take down that it hardly got used.
The decision was taken to make a layout on one small board (1200 X 600mm)
As Mr Mayfield had lots of 009 stuff at home it was decided that the layout would be a 009 railway.
